playing in leaves…

i am so thankful for this amazingly warm fall we have had here in pittsburgh! it has made my photo shoots way more comfortable during this busy time of year (up until this past weekend anyways!) this session was a lot of fun, and the little girl is full of personality.

almost one…

i wanted to get these photos up before november is over. i think i only have one more session that involved a lot of leaves so hopefully that will also be posted this week. time has been flying this fall!

this little guy has gorgeus eyes. it was his first time playing in the leaves, and he really enjoyed trying to eat them, ha! he will be one in december, and will be a big brother in february. his mama will have her hands full for sure! :)

thanksgiving…

I’m a bit late, but Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone enjoyed their day and had a relaxing weekend. on Thanksgiving, we had a very impromptu overnight babysitter thanks to my parents. the mister and i enjoyed a very lazy friday..very nice! :) this past weekend i used the self timer to try to get my own family portrait. out of 120 shots there were a few that were useable. my son enjoys making faces at the camera, singing, and clapping his hands..haha! i think this may have been the first family photo with the 4 of us where there was no crying. so i guess you could call it a success.

baby, toddler, pre-schooler…

One of the best parts of my job is having repeat clients and getting to see their kids grow up (see here!), it is truly an honor! I was especially excited to hear that this particular family had a new addition. Big sister and bother obviously adore their new sister. Photographing 3 children who are 3 and under is definitely an interesting time, but so much fun. And after seeing their backyard, I am not sure why all of our sessions weren’t there. Gosh, they are just so adorable.

[i have to say, it makes me a little sad when mom and dad don't want atleast one photo with their babies, but i always try to atleast get in one shot :)]

patience…

the dog waiting so patiently, hoping to get a dropped m&m or two. sadly for her, not a single one hit the floor.

hartwood acres…

I met this family at hartwood acres. i don’t believe that i am exagerating when i say there must have been atleast 5 other photographers there. slightly awkward, so i was happy this family lived just a minute away and we were able to finish the session in their backyard. lately all of the little boys that i have been photographing have been doing everything to not look at me, making my job slightly difficult but i almost always win in the end. :) his little sister is absolutely gorgeus. here are a few of my favorites from the session…

you can’t go wrong with beautiful blue skies, a cute hat, and adorable chubby cheeks. for some reason, all of the leaves in Oakland were green and we were having some problems finding color. then finally we found one big tree with yellow and orange leaves. yay! :)
