big announcement…

With my kids getting older, and both being in school I am finding it harder and harder to find time to work. With baseball, soccer and camping I have had to turn down too many sessions this spring. I am going to be taking the next couple of months off to restructure my business. I have a small list of photographers who I have worked with and highly respect and will be more than happy to refer them to you. I want to thank all of my past clients over the past 4 years to trust me with your family portraits. It has been a fantastic experience meeting so many new people around the Pittsburgh area!

love…

this is my first time sharing an engagement session on the blog. truthfully, it makes me a little nervous cosidering it’s not my norm! it was my third engagement session, the others just never made it on the blog unfortunately! they were my third session that weekend, so it is always a treat to photograph people who would listen and didn’t run in the opposite direction. although occasionally their parents were a little hard to wrange together, ha!

sisters…

three lovely sisters, daughters of heather bowser. very easy to photograph, they are definitely well trained..ha!

i wanted to post these before summer was over. i can’t believe tomorrow is the first day of fall! my son and myself have been enjoying nice walks in the morning, the air has been so fresh and the weather is very comfortable. also, he has been enjoying seeing all of the “army men and trucks” driving around shadyside getting ready for the g-20.

i shot this session as a second shooter with tiffany from hot metal studio

a big thank you goes to oh yeah! ice cream & coffee for hooking us up with a birthday cake ice cream cone that we used during the shoot. it is definitely my kid’s favorite place to go for ice cream, and they also make a fantastic americano!

it’s been awhile since i have had the chance to take my own children out for a photo shoot.  to be honest, it’s not something i really look forward to.  they can be quite difficult to photograph, and have no desire to cooperate.  on saturday morning, i took them out, with low expectations. i really wanted to document my son turning three, and my daughters new short hair cut.  with a bribe for a special treat, they gave me about 20 minutes and it just happened to be enough time to get a few keepers!

oh…and the special treat they picked out?  a package of strawberries and pumpernickel bagels with cream cheese from the whole foods for lunch!  i can’t complain about that. :)
