green!…
It has been way too long since my last blog post. Three of the families that are on the first page, I have since photographed again. That means I have some major catching up to do in the new year, for sure!
The session I am sharing today is making me realize how much I do not like winter. It has only been cold and snowy for a week, and I am deeply missing the summer months! This family was an easy one to photograph, and their kids were super fun. Once their son found some rottened apples on the ground, he really loosend up for me and the camera. They just recently moved here from Seattle, and I hope they are surviving the start of a Pittsburgh winter!

newborn…
I can’t get ever how cute this little newborn is, and his mom and dad were super sweet too! And I love it when I get to meet them early enough and their belly buttons are still attached. I miss doing my newborn shoots outside, it is much too chilly now.

lucky number seven..
On October 13, my little miss turned seven. she has been waiting for her birthday for months now, so it was a very exciting day for her. her school had a hike in frick park that day, so i was lucky enough to be able to spend most of the morning with her. both sets of grandparents came over that day to celebrate. she also had her first sleepover with school friends lastnight. it was a lot of fun, but we were all exhausted tonight!

shiny, happy people…
there was a chance of rain the day of this session, we decided to just go for it because we had already rescheduled once due to rain. it was sprinkling when i went into Oakland, so we went straight into taking photos. thankfully they brought an umbrella and we were able to find some cover when the downpour started. the focus during the rain was getting some family shots, so i could meet up with mama and her children another day. it worked out really well in the end and is truly a beautiful session!

high jumps and rolling down hills…
First I have to say it is such a treat to photograph some older kids. I have had so many newborn and toddler sessions this year, and well, they are a lot of work! These two siblings had a fun time jumping off steps and rolling down the hill. I believe there was some Star Wars talk as well. We met at Mellon park because this is where mom and dad had their wedding. Unfortunaley the main part was under construction so we had no access. It is now finished and I must say it is very nice! It is a great park to take your dog to and have a picnic with your family. Personally, it is one of my favorite parks to visit in Pittsburgh.
And seriously, I can’t help but smile when I look at these photos!
