I absolutely love photographing one year olds! they are full of personality, but are usually slow moving yet. she was just adorable and happy for the whole session. at one point she was throwing a piece of bark from a tree, and it had her laughing hysterically. love it!

my family and i will be heading to the beach and will be gone for two weeks. any e-mails will be returned, and galleries will be put up at the beginning of august!

i was just doing the final edits on this session tonight, and wanted to share a few. i just love it when the client orders my favorite photos! the session was at hartwood acre’s. it was my first time shooting there, and i am sure i will go back. gorgeus place! his mom did some major practicing so he would be sitting up for his 6 month session, and it was obviously worth all the work…haha!

this evening my husband decided to take off our daughters training wheels…
i have to admit, i thought he was crazy. i really didn’t think she was ready. also, we are having our own family pictures done tomorrow, and i really didn’t want her all scraped up. within 15 minutes, our little girl was doing this….
don’t mind the picture quality…this proud momma had a few tears, and definitely fumbled with the camera. seriously, i am so proud of her!
speaking of her, and our photo shoot tomorrow. i had our outfits all picked out and laid out on our bed. this evening i wanted to wash a few things, but her outfit was no where to be found. i asked her if she knew where it was, and her response was “i am not wearing that outfit!” it turns out she hid it from me.

one of the best parts of shooting in a clients home is how comfortable the child is. it’s great to be able to capture moments in their bed, club house, or a very adorable pink polk a dotted chair.. don’t you just love her red hair?
