A very impromptu session with my niece yesterday. After I asked her to pose she goes, “So, I hear you want to be a photographer.” It made me giggle.  She will be 8 at the end of May.  She’s so cute with her missing front tooth!  Anyways. I have really been enjoying shooting in full sun this past week. I love the glow it gives a person!

A trip to grandmas house!  The little ones were able to see some new calves and some puppies.   I like the results I get with the 50 mm lens, but I am used to having a zoom.  It’s weird having to back way up, and inconvenient sometimes too.  Next purchase will be a nice zooms lens!  Check back later..I have some of my niece too.  I just need to finish editing them!

Spring always gives us such beautiful things to enjoy. It always reminds me of God’s greatness, and how everything is His creation. I do take a lot of nature shots, not just my children.  I should start sharing those some more!

Anyways, today Heather brought me over a D70 to play with. It was an overcast day, and only a little chilly so we were able to go outside and have some fun! I really enjoyed it, although it is so much different than the D40. The lens is just amazing compared to what I have. She explained to me about aperature priority mode. I have read my manual over and over, but AP mode has never worked properly for me. But with what she told me, I understand it now. So thank you Heather! I am going to purchase the camera from her, and pick me up a lens this week too! I am super excited.

Another wonderful day, there hasn’t been a cloud in the sky this weekend. We spent the entire day outside, and had so much fun. Today these were shot in auto. I wasn’t in the mood to bother with settings. I just snapped away and let them do their thing! As usual, they’re not perfect by any means, but I couldn’t be happier with these shots today.

What a nice earth day it was!

Here’s something everyone should give some consideration to.

We are having the most beautiful weekend here.  No clouds at all!  The sun was directly behind her in this picture. Shooting in full sun is something I am going to need to practice!
