I don’t understand why I don’t know how to do this…but focusing on more than one person confuses me! And I have some practice shoots over the next couple of months so I really need to figure it out!

On the first one, I had the focal point on her face, but it seems to me that the focus is on everything but her. I don’t understand what happened there..
And the second one..well, I really need to pay attention to the whole frame and watch for cut off body parts!

These flowers have bloomed over the weekend, so I had to take a few snapshots of them today. I haven’t taken any pictures of the kids lately. They deserve a break sometimes, right?
Yesterday we looked at another apartment. We decided to take it, as it had all of our specifications. So it was ours. Until this evening, when we received a letter in the mail from some lofts we applied to but were put on a waiting list back in January. We are now at the top of the list, and should be in soon so it seems.  Naturally we are going to wait on the loft. Plus this afternoon my husband went to drop off the deposit, but had forgotten his ID/debit card at home, so the bank wouldn’t let him take the money out. I love it how things like this work out, and God shows us how He really is in control.

Just playing with some pictures from yesterday. I am really liking the low saturation look!
I did a newborn shoot with Heather today. I am pretty happy with my shots, but they are very grainy. It was great practice for me, and I really enjoyed it. Once I get them proofed and a model release from the new mommy, I will post my favorites!

We went outside right after naptime. He was staying nice and still, which was a rare treat. Then he actually looked at the camera!
I couldn’t decide if I liked the color version or the black and white version better, so I added both!
