Just found this today and wanted to share.  I think this is a really great project, and would be so enjoyable to do!  Something I certainly don’t need, as I have no problem going to the mall and spending money on myself!  But I know a lot of moms who don’t, and really should!

My daughter has quite the imagination.  She is constantly pretending something.  I love how creative she gets, and is so consistent with it.  Stone Soup is a book she really enjoys, and today I found her making some of her own stone soup.  She added (from left to right) mint, potatoes, asparagus, and above that is the stone, chives and spinach.  Then she tossed it all into a sparkly pink bucket!  I hope she never stops using her imagination.

It has been so sunny the last couple of months, and we have been enjoying it.  Today was a rainy day, so I played with manual some.  It really made a huge difference.  My exposure is still off obviously.  I am really missing a zoom lens.  I am considering the Tamron 17-50mm/2.8.  But I have read such mixed reviews, so I don’t know…

On Friday we went to the zoo to celebrate my husbands twenty-third birthday. We had a really nice day out, and the kids behaved wonderfully. Such a treat! Sorry about all of the pictures, I took over 400! I am loving my 4MB CF card!

I am so behind on going through pictures!  These are from a few days ago, they’re both getting so big! I forgot to sharpen these up some…and I do not feel like going back through!

I am about a quarter of the way proofing this session. The focus on these aren’t fantastic, but I still surprised myself with what I did get. This was my first time to photograph more than one person (other than my children), so I was kind of clueless! Also I had no idea of how to pose siblings who weren’t little kids anymore!

A photo from last week..I wish the grass wasn’t across his eye, but he doesn’t look at the camera very often!

I did get to start on Understand Exposure last week. I had a few hours to waste, so I was able to sit in Starbucks on Walnut St and read for awhile. What more could a girl ask for!? I have enjoyed it so far..it is so easy to understand! I would love to find someone to mentor me once we move. I have searched out a few, it is just having the courage to email them and ask!
