snow, ice, rain, repeat…
between the snow, ice and rain here in pittsburgh we haven’t been getting out of the house much. today was the first time we got out to do anything fun, and that was just a short walk of 2 blocks to our local library and some lunch at the whole foods. here is both kiddo’s playing what my daughter called ‘puppy salon’. surprisingly, the dog didn’t mind all that much!

home again, home again, jiggety jig….
my husband had a business meeting in florida last week, so i was lucky enough to be able to go along. we stayed at neptune beach, and as you can see from the photos it was quite chilly! on monday i had the entire day to spend by myself, and the thought of knitting on the beach while sipping a hot cup of tazo awake tea sounded really relaxing, but i ended up missing my kids terribly!

out of town…

before christmas, my daughter’s dance class opened there doors to allow the families to see what the little ones have been learning. for my daughter, the most exciting part was getting to wear whatever she wanted. i knew i had to make it special, because she is really into fashion and super picky about her clothing (although the outfits she puts together aren’t always top of the line…ha!) we were at the nutcracker presented at the benedum a week before, and i was inspired to make her into a little flower. so i made a nice bright green tutu, cut out some pink flower petals on felt and put it together, along with a matching headband. super easy, quick and cost effective! she couldn’t have been happier!

newborns are just so beautiful! they are definitely more time consuming to photograph, but the results are always worth it! so, so sweet!

baby #3 for the powell’s…
we welcomed a new puppy into our home a few weeks ago. we adopted her from hello bully (http://www.hellobully.com) which is an organization here in pittsburgh, pennsylvania to find homes for pit bulls.
today i found some green marker around her neck, and green marker all over my sons hands, haha!
she is such a calm puppy and loves to cuddle.
