I am about a quarter of the way proofing this session. The focus on these aren’t fantastic, but I still surprised myself with what I did get. This was my first time to photograph more than one person (other than my children), so I was kind of clueless! Also I had no idea of how to pose siblings who weren’t little kids anymore!

I did get to start on Understand Exposure last week. I had a few hours to waste, so I was able to sit in Starbucks on Walnut St and read for awhile. What more could a girl ask for!? I have enjoyed it so far..it is so easy to understand! I would love to find someone to mentor me once we move. I have searched out a few, it is just having the courage to email them and ask!

One of my favorites from today! I had a lot of fun with this session. Once again my images turned out dark, which means they were extra grainy once I lightened them up. But I am still happy with what I shot! I will be showing a lot more from this session once I get through them all.

This was from my very first session ever last month. They were noisier than what I would have wanted, but I was happy with the shots I did get. These were two of my favorite, but I want to show the rest to the mom before I post anymore. I am just waiting on my husband to put together a gallery for me! I have a senior shoot on Thursday, and I am really looking forward to that!

I received the book I ordered last week, Understanding Exposure. I have started reading it, but it is definitely going to take time for everything to make sense. I know it will all come together eventually!
As of today I have had 100 hits to my site, and only 3 comments. Am I really that bad?! lol.

A short photo shoot with my kiddos on Saturday. The rain spoiled this one! I would have of liked to get one of them together, but I am sure we can try it again. I am still working on a b&w conversion that suits me. I personally am really liking this one.

I have been working on getting nice, crisp eyes. I have been very unsuccessful at all of my attempts. This is the closest so far. All of my pictures are very noisy too, I am not sure if it is me or my camera. I ordered Bryan Petersons book Understanding Exposure. Hopefully that will help. I think that my biggest problem is that my pictures are just not properly exposed. It’s supposed to ship tomorrow, so I will have a lot of reading and practicing to do next week!
