baby #3 for the powell’s…

we welcomed a new puppy into our home a few weeks ago.  we adopted her from hello bully (http://www.hellobully.com) which is an organization here in pittsburgh, pennsylvania to find homes for pit bulls.

today i found some green marker around her neck, and green marker all over my sons hands, haha!

she is such a calm puppy and loves to cuddle.

tomorrow…

last monday we took both kids to see barack obama at the mellon arena in pittsburgh.  it was sooo cold, and then this monday it was absolutely gorgeus at 70 degrees!

they were so into it.  doing ‘the wave’ and chanting ‘YES WE CAN’ with the crowd.  so cute! and after waiting an hour in line, and well over an hour before barack began to speak, we had no crying.  amazing!!!

anyways, tomorrow we will be doing some volunteering for the obama campaign, with our kids in tow.

i hope everyone gets out and votes, no matter who your vote is for! 

oh, and the last photo is the kids and a friend waiting for the bus - how exciting!

my family..

i have had this idea in my head since last summer, and i finally have it…i am soo happy!  we were on the tip top of a very large hill and boy was it windy!

my little guy was so happy to spend the weekend outside.  he would just walk around swinging his arms with a big grin.  when his uncle pulled out this tractor, it certainly made his day!

can you believe it is already september??  we spent THREE weeks in august battling colds between the four of us, and seemed to have missed so much.

i have two specials to announce…one for seniors and also mini sessions for the holidays!  i will have all of the details together by the end of next week.  i am super excited!
