It’s beginning to feel a lot like Summer!   We brought the hose and buckets out to wash all of the Little Tikes cars, boats and picnic tables that fill up our porch.  The kids had a blast, and you can guess who ended up doing all of the cleaning (with breaks to take pictures, of course!).

One of my favorites from over the weekend.

I wanted this weekend to just be slow pace..nice and relaxing. Just spending time as a family. There was a kids day going on here, with a petting zoo. Admission was free so we decided to go. Knowing it was free..we probably should have known better. The “petting zoo” was four very small cages with a few barn animals in them. The kids enjoyed it, but I felt bad for the animals.  Other activities consisted of many booths set up, with different handouts, that as my husband put it looked like books from Goodwill.  There was also a large blow up slide, and a maze for children five and up.  We thought since that was such a dissapointment we would just go to the zoo. On the way there our daughter had an accident, so we had to come home to change clothes. It was then too late, so we thought we would go to Ikea. While we were there our son broke out with a fever, and on the way home our daughter began vomiting. So today, we are all sick…with two cranky children.

I have no interest in wedding photography. It was fun to see my little girl looking like a princess, but I didn’t even know where to begin to take pictures. When I got home and downloaded my pictures onto the computer I realized that I had none of her and the bride.

My husband is finally finished up with school, and has a job. So now we finally get to move and find a new apartment. Right now he drives over an hour to and from work, and it is too much for all of us. I thought looking for a new apartment would be fun, it is something we haven’t done for almost 5 years now. I sure was wrong. We are looking for a loft in Pittsburgh. Some of the things we want are either hardwood floors or finished cement floors. No carpeting. Exposed brick would be nice. A lot of natural light. Nice neighborhood, with a nearby park that we could walk to. Last week we looked at the Heinz Lofts. Very nice building, very secure..but, it didn’t have the things we want. So hopefully we can visit somewhere else this week.

The only thing fun about this all is the trip to the city, and getting to snap a lot of pictures.
