snow and bellies…

two blog posts in one day..wow! i wanted to get these posted today, because tomorrow will be the newborn session of the new baby. i love photographing toddlers. they are so shy at first, but quickly warm up. he was such a sweet boy and loved his thomas trains.

i have no idea of what happened, but after uploading these photos they seem to have lost some color. i will have to fix that later. right now i need to go get my own kiddos some dinner, and then out to learn to crochet with jill of D.R. photography and design..i’m excited.

better late than never…

somehow a month has gone by since my last blog post. we had a great Christmas and New Year, and i hope you all did too. perhaps in the next week i will blog a few personal photos from the last month, but for now here are some photos that i really, really wanted to post before Christmas. knitting presents, baking, school parties, and taking care of last minute orders and photo shoots got in the way that… :)

it was super cold and snowing for this session, which resulted in only about 45 minutes of actual shooting time. looking back at these, i have no idea of how they handled having their coats off. i was beyond freezng! there was a small break at the dunkin’ donuts to get warmed up. it was her first donut, so that was fun to see. once again, this is the third time i have been able to photograph this family and she is turning into one beautiful little girl!

Christmas Prep…

During Christmas, I tend to put my camera away and only pull it out for sessions. It is definitely my busiest time of the year, and it is super easy to get burnt out and just not have the desire to photograph my own children’s moments. I have made it a point to pull the camera out a little more over the last two weeks, and take some snap shots. The lighting wasn’t ideal in any of these shots, but they make me smile anyways. :) I hope you all can take a moment to relax with your children, and enjoy the spirit of Christmas with them. We have been enjoying talking about the birth of Jesus, and also getting our kids to be slightly more compliant with the threat of them going on Santa’s naughty list.. ;)

almost here…

it is such a treat to be able to photograph your friends. especially when it is something special like a new baby! at one point her son was at the other side of the park hiding from me, because he did not want his picture taken..ha! he is such a sweet little boy, and he and my own little guy are friends. :) the new baby will hopefully be here any day now. and i am praying that they will not end up in the hospital on Christmas!

playing in leaves…

i am so thankful for this amazingly warm fall we have had here in pittsburgh! it has made my photo shoots way more comfortable during this busy time of year (up until this past weekend anyways!) this session was a lot of fun, and the little girl is full of personality.

i wanted to get these photos up before november is over. i think i only have one more session that involved a lot of leaves so hopefully that will also be posted this week. time has been flying this fall!

this little guy has gorgeus eyes. it was his first time playing in the leaves, and he really enjoyed trying to eat them, ha! he will be one in december, and will be a big brother in february. his mama will have her hands full for sure! :)

thanksgiving…

I’m a bit late, but Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone enjoyed their day and had a relaxing weekend. on Thanksgiving, we had a very impromptu overnight babysitter thanks to my parents. the mister and i enjoyed a very lazy friday..very nice! :) this past weekend i used the self timer to try to get my own family portrait. out of 120 shots there were a few that were useable. my son enjoys making faces at the camera, singing, and clapping his hands..haha! i think this may have been the first family photo with the 4 of us where there was no crying. so i guess you could call it a success.
