sadly, this is the only photo i shot yesterday. the mister and children surprised me with homemade cards, belgian waffles, fresh fruit, fresh ground espresso with a touch of soy milk..and my favorite, a bouquet of daisies! i hope all you mama’s had a great mother’s day!

these photos of my own kids make me laugh! they are two out of many out takes from the TWO sessions i did with them today. they were being quite difficult for me! the others will have to wait to be shared until after mother’s day.

last weekend my husband, who is behind developed simple finally did a little revamping on my website, which was much needed. i, personally, am very happy with the new look. i just wanted something nice and simple, and that is exactly what it is! there will be a few more additions in the near future also!
anyways, here are some photos from our afternoon. him and the dog working away, and my daughter and i making pot holders and drinking some tea while the little guy napped.
oh, and happy may day! i didn’t get out to take any pictures of a flower, but here are some mugs…ha!

the day started out rainy, but finally the skies opened up and it turned into a beautiful day! we decorated our sidewalk with some chalk (if you can see it, my daughter drew an earth with a rainbow!) and took a walk to one of our favorite hang outs, the quiet storm (http://quietstormcoffee.com), for some coffee and hot cocoas! here are a few snap shots from our day. all photos taken with the nikon d40!
happy earth day!

the rain is definitely an inconvenience (especially on mondays, when i take my daughter to dance class and have to walk 6 blocks or so, holding hands with two kids). i took some photos a few weeks ago of the buds on the trees while it was raining. i was so excited to see some green. within just a few hours they turned into beautiful blossoms. so i guess sometimes i need to be thankful for all of this rain!
