sisters…
so far this spring i have photographed all siblings, or soon to be big sisters. these two sisters are so sweet, and i can only imagine the fun they will have getting to grow up together!

happy may day…

today we spent the afternoon at my sister and brother-in-law’s farm. we snapped lots and lots of photos, played cowboys, pet horses and found a small camper to purchase. it was a blissful day!

newborn baby girl…
one of the worst things about getting behind in blogging is trying to figure out where to catch up at. should i start where i left off, or begin posting my spring sessions? i decided to start where i left off. it is great to be able to photograph both maternity and newborn sessions. once they are both done, i get to know the family well. plus the older sibling is always way less shy for the second visit. for this session mom purchased a very pretty crocheted hat from etsy, but it didn’t arrive in time. so we rescheduled for a couple of days later, and unfortunately the hat ended up being a bit too big! we did our best to make it work, but the baby was not so happy about it. in between comforting and feeding (which is very typical in newborn sessions) we were able to get some great shots!

how lucky was i to have an assistant this day?

here in pittsburgh, with the help of the warm sunshine and a little bit of rain the leaves are coming out. it is so refreshing!

baby boy…
after not blogging for an embarrassing amount of time, it’s kind of hard to decide what pictures to start with first. i photographed this baby boy at 4 weeks, and he was way more aware of his surroundings. he was happy for the entire session (unless we tried to take off his onesie!), and fell asleep at the end. i am lucky enough to be friends with his mama, so we get to see him often. my own son gets a bit jealous when i hold him!

four!…
this kid turned four today and said it was the best birthday ever!
he wanted a treasure chest filled with “pirate stuff and lots of treasure” so that is what he received. the mister made him the treasure box, and i even knitted a parrot to go along with everything. the parrot was named “squally” and although he is a little misshapen, he still went every where with us today.

i am way behind on bloging. i have been spending my evenings knitting and sewing, but will hopefully make some time to get caught up on my sessions from this year.
